10×10 outfits

I ran into 10×10 challenge on Instagram a while ago and think it is a great idea and great way to start seeing your wardrobe maybe in another light. The idea of the challenge is to pick up ten pieces of clothing of your wardrobe and create ten different outfits out of those for the next ten days.

Since I have working clothes at work I didn’t wear my outfits the next ten days but it was good to see how many different combinations can be made. Ten outfits came quite easily but I tried not to go only with the most basic ones but also to give some space to imagination.

I choose 9+1, nine pieces of clothing + 1 pair of shoes. Some people include outerwear and shoes too, some not. Here are the clothes I chose:

Grey/green sateen top
White cotton shirt
Purple-white striped shirt
Black-white jacket dress
Off-white blazer
Brown knitted sweater
Mom jeans
Black leather pants
Black tights
Black ankle boots

If it was summer and warmer, I could skip tights and knitted sweater and choose something else instead. That would bring even more opportunities to create outfits, especially skipping the tights.

The first three outfits:

White cotton shirt
Mom jeans
Brown knitted sweater
Black ankle boots

Green/grey sateen top
Off-white blazer
Mom jeans
Black ankle boots

Purple-white striped shirt
Mom jeans
Black ankle boots

The challenge is connected to idea of a capsule wardrobe, but I will take that as own topic on another post. I will share more my thoughts about sustainable wardrobe and what I think about the concept of a capsule wardrobe, so stay tuned!
